During a marketing strategy meeting with my friend Leigh Anne Matthews of Ella’s Cottage, I had an epiphany; pet pillows. Leigh Anne is a talented interior decorator and seamstress and I wanted her to make something special in memory of our dog Charlotte….  The real reason we packed up and moved to rural Prince Edward Island…? The free jam. Whenever you go visiting here people send you home packing mason jars of homemade preserves. It’s awesome. The other day our friends Melanie and Thane gave us these fabulous strawberry and grape jams, and much toast has been eaten…  Sadly after three years of having May with us and battling her laminitis, I had to face facts and do the right thing and have her put down. It took me a long time. Too long in fact. I tried everything I could because I loved her so much. I have known May for 15…  I love food photography. I love composing the shots, playing with the light, stylizing, and making the food look as appetizing as possible. We have a farmhouse full of antiques which make stylizing the shots a lot of fun for me. I love all things old, retro, and vintage. That’s what I love. That’s my… |
